Job Summary**
The VPS Trainee will support the Valeo Production System (VPS) implementation and optimization within Valeo Systemes Thermiques, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence. This role offers an opportunity to learn and apply Lean manufacturing principles in a dynamic industrial environment.
Job Responsibilities**
* Assist in the deployment and monitoring of VPS tools and methodologies across production lines.
* Participate in workshops and projects aimed at identifying and eliminating waste (Muda) and improving efficiency.
* Support the analysis of production data to identify areas for improvement and propose solutions.
* Contribute to the standardization of work processes and the development of best practices.
* Help facilitate training sessions on VPS principles and tools for production teams.
* Collaborate with various departments (e.g., Production, Quality, Logistics) to ensure effective VPS implementation.
* Prepare reports and presentations on VPS project progress and results.
* Participate in problem-solving activities using Lean techniques (e.g., 5 Whys, Ishikawa).
* Shadow experienced VPS practitioners to gain practical knowledge and skills.
Job Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Production) or a related field.
* Basic understanding of Lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping).
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
* Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
* Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude.
* Fluency in English is required; knowledge of French or other European languages is a plus.
