About the role
As a System Validation Engineer, you will be responsible for validation activities within automotive ADAS projects, with a strong focus on vehicle testing, Car Modification and NCAP-related activities.
You will work with test vehicles, prepare and modify vehicles for specific validation activities, install and configure measurement and test equipment, and perform system and vehicle-level testing. You will also work with GPS/GNSS-based positioning and data acquisition systems used during vehicle and NCAP testing.
The role combines automotive engineering, hands-on vehicle work, electronics, measurement technology and data analysis. You will collaborate with project teams and other engineering disciplines to ensure that validation activities are performed according to project requirements, Valeo standards and applicable testing procedures.
The position is particularly suitable for an engineer who enjoys working directly with vehicles and technology and who has an interest in building or experimenting with their own electronic projects.
Main Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and execute system validation and verification activities for automotive ADAS projects.
- Prepare and modify test vehicles for specific validation and NCAP test activities.
- Install, configure and verify test equipment, sensors, GPS/GNSS systems and measurement systems on test vehicles.
- Support Car Modification activities, including preparation of vehicles, installation of additional equipment and adaptation of vehicles for specific testing requirements.
- Perform vehicle and system tests according to defined specifications, test procedures and NCAP requirements.
- Work with GPS/GNSS positioning and data acquisition for vehicle testing and test result analysis.
- Prepare and verify test setups before testing, including sensors, measurement equipment, communication interfaces and power supplies.
- Analyze test data and identify deviations, technical issues and potential root causes.
- Prepare test reports, validation documentation and technical presentations.
- Support Euro NCAP and other regulatory or consumer test activities where applicable.
- Cooperate with project teams, customers and other engineering disciplines to resolve technical issues.
- Support continuous improvement of vehicle preparation, testing and validation processes.
- Contribute to the development and use of digital tools for test automation, data collection and analysis.
Required Knowledge and Skills
Technical Skills
- Experience in automotive testing, validation, verification or vehicle development.
- Interest or experience in ADAS and vehicle-level testing.
- Experience with test vehicles, vehicle modifications or installation of test equipment is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of GPS/GNSS technology, positioning and vehicle data acquisition.
- Ability to understand technical requirements and convert them into practical test scenarios and setups.
- Experience with measurement equipment, sensors, data acquisition or similar systems is an advantage.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical, electronic and technical problems on vehicles.
- Experience with CAN/CAN-FD, automotive communication or diagnostic systems is an advantage.
- Ability to analyze test data and prepare technical reports.
- Basic programming or scripting skills (e.g. Python) are an advantage.
- Interest in electronics and hands-on technical projects, including building or experimenting with own electronic devices, is highly appreciated.

Qualifications
- Technical university degree or equivalent education in automotive engineering, electrical engineering, electronics, computer science or a related field.
- Previous experience in automotive testing, validation or engineering is an advantage.
- Experience with ADAS, vehicle testing, Car Modification or NCAP testing is an advantage.
- Knowledge of GPS/GNSS systems is an advantage.
- Driving licence – category B.
- English language – intermediate level (B1) and Czech language.
- Willingness to travel occasionally according to project requirements.
